Stack Overflow is the place for developers to learn and share their programming knowledge. Their Talent portal is a fantastic place for businesses to hire, engage and enable great developers. Our integration with the Stack Overflow Talent platform allows candidates to apply straight from Stack Overflow and go through the robust Applied process - helping teams find world-class developers who skills match their roles' needs.
Find your job's unique Stack Overflow address
Before you can use the integration you'll need to link the Job on Stack Overflow with the Job in Applied. Once the role is live, navigate the the 'Manage section' where you'll see your 'Job Dashboard'.
Here you'll see a section with the Stack Overflow integration details. Copy the unique email address in red.
Don't see this option? Get in touch with your Account manager at Applied who can activate this for you.
Link your Stack Overflow job posting to Applied
Head over to your job in Stack Overflow. Scroll down to the "How would you like to manage this job listing?" section, select the "Stack Overflow Talent" option and paste in the unique email address you copied above. Save and republish the job and you're good to go!
Every time a candidate uses Stack Overflow to apply to a connected job you'll see them appear as an 'incomplete' application in Applied and they'll receive an email inviting them to go through the Applied application process.
- Stack Overflow requires that users upload a CV, it doesn't look like there is a way to turn this off. These will not be carried through into Applied.
Stack Overflow has a delay of about 5 minutes before a candidate appears in the list of Applicants and up to 30 minutes to send the information to Applied. So it may warrant mentioning in your Stack Overflow job description that applicants can expect a link to their application in Applied within 1 - 2 hours of applying
