What is Broadbean?
Broadbean is a job board aggregator. It works as a hub for thousands of free and pay-to-post job boards around the world.
As an Admin on Applied you can access Broadbean from our platform when you’re building a role, to post your opportunity to multiple job boards in one go.
How do you access Broadbean through Applied?
If you are a new customer with Applied, you will have been given the option of adding Broadbean to your contract when it is set up.
If you are an existing Applied customer, please get in touch with your contact on the Customer Success team, or click the Broadbean information option on the platform and we will be happy to discuss Broadbean access with you.
Once you have a Broadbean account linked to your Applied account, you will be able to post to job boards from the ‘Job distribution’ section, after you have built your role and opened it to applications.
What happens if you already have a stand alone Broadbean account?
No problem, this can also be linked to your Applied account, but requires an additional conversation with Broadbean’s implementation team. Get in touch with us to discuss this further.
Can I choose which boards I advertise my roles on within Broadbean?
Yes, when you set up your Broadbean activation with your Customer Success Manager, the person you have designated as your ‘superadmin’ will gain access to a management account, from which they can add and remove relevant job boards. For all but a handful of free-to-post boards, you will need to have an existing account/relationship with the job board you wish to post to.
Each board will require the superadmin to provide some identifying information, such as a unique customer number or reference. This varies from board to board, but can usually be obtained from the job board directly. Without this information, the job board will not know which person/organisation is trying to post on their site via Broadbean and your adverts will fail to post.
How is my role sent through to Broadbean?
Once a role is built on the Applied platform and you have opened it to applications, you can navigate to the ‘Job Distribution’ tab and choose ‘Post to boards’. You will be presented with the list of job boards your superadmin has set up on the account ready for use. Once you have verified the job information is correct, simply hit ‘post’.
What happens next and how can I track performance through Broadbean?
At this point, Broadbean will send the job advert details to all the job boards selected. Because each board has different infrastructure, some adverts will go live immediately, others may take a few minutes or even hours. If there is a problem posting to a given board, such as you don’t have enough purchased credits or the job board doesn’t recognise your account, Broadbean will notify your superadmin via email. A list of the boards that you posted to within Broadbean will appear in the ‘Job Distribution’ section in Applied. A management panel will also be available here where you can delete or update any of your postings.
Here is a screenshot of what it could look like:
You will be able to access the performance figures for Broadbean alongside those of Applied :
Once your role has closed, if you would like to delete the Broadbean posts, you can do this by accessing the ‘Management Panel’ in the Job Distribution area.
