Answers to work sample questions in Applied are formatted using the markup language “Markdown”
What does this mean for you as a candidate? Generally answers will be written in plain text, without any formatting, but you can decorate your answers with Markdown syntax to format them for reviewers. Please read more about it here.
If you want part of your text to appear in bold for the reviewers you can do so by adding two asterisks before and after a word or phrase.
If you want part of your text to appear in italics for the reviewers you can do so by adding one asterisk before and after a word or phrase.
You can preview your answers by navigating to your application overview and clicking the “Review your answers” button at the bottom. This will show you your answers formatted based on the Markdown specification, this is how reviewers will see your answers.
