Background on data deletion and consent
Candidates must give consent for their data to be held on our systems, in order to complete an application form for any role.
Legally we are required to hold the data of all applicants to a hired role for 6 months post-hire.
Candidates however, can withdraw their consent for us to hold their data at any time.
How can a candidate request a data deletion?
Candidates can request a data deletion via email to our Support team on hello@beapplied.com
All we need is the registered email that the candidate used as well as their full name. If you have received a request via email, you can forward it to Support on the same email address.
Candidates can also use a generic data deletion template (of which there are a number online) and send it through to the email address above.
What happens once a data deletion is requested?
When a candidate withdraws consent, their details are logged onto our automatic data deletion system. The system runs a check on roles that they have applied for using their email address and any that are 6 months post-hire will trigger an automatic deletion. If there are roles which are still within the 6 month post-hire period deletion will be delayed until this has passed and then an automatic deletion will be triggered.
