Job requisition is a feature that allows organisations to add an approval process before role drafts go live, streamlining decision-making and enhancing security.
In this article, you'll learn how to
- Turn the Role Approvals feature on
- Assign approvers to your roles
- Request approval for a role to go live
- Approve a role draft to go live
- Role is approved and ready to be published
Turn the Role Approvals feature on
To turn role approvals on, you must be an Admin user.
- Log in to your Applied account
- Click on your name (top right corner), then click on Settings
- Go to the Users & Permissions tab and scroll down to find this toggle and turn it on
⚠️ Once you turn the toggle on, approvals will be required for every new role created.
Assign approvers
Once you’ve turned Role Approvals on, you'll find this Approver section in the Build > Hiring team page.
This is where you select the user(s) who can approve the role. If you add multiple approvers, only 1 needs to approve the role draft.
Approvers must be an Admin or Hiring Manager.
Request approval for a role to go live
As soon as you have added an approver, you can Submit for approval from the top bar, or from the Launch Checklist where you would normally publish a role.
The approver(s) will get sent an e-mail with a link that takes them to the role build, so they can review the details and approve the role to go live.
Approve a role draft to go live
When approvers receive a role approval request e-mail, the link takes them to the role build, where they can review the details – and if everything looks good, click Approve role in the top bar.
Role is approved and ready to be published
Once the role draft has been approved, any admin user can click Publish in the top bar to make the role live.
(Note that required fields still need to be completed before a role draft can be published.)
The user who requested approval on the role will receive a confirmation email that their role draft can now be published. You will also see details of who approved the role and when in the Hiring Team and Launch Checklist pages.
🎉 Congratulations! At this point you can go live with your role and start receiving applications.
